Little Miami Board Nomination and Descriptions

Good Morning Panther families!

Hope everyone is well and enjoying their Spring.

It is already early April and we now have less than 100 days until the start of practice for the upcoming 2021 LYMFC football season.  We are certainly excited to see the children back out on the field and working to develop both as athletes and as young men and women.

During these past winter months, with invaluable input from many in our Little Miami youth football family, LMYFC has worked to put into place a strong foundation of organizational governance necessary to help LMYFC move forward and grow into an organization that can be the pride of our community and the envy of others.

There is a lot of work that remains to be done to continue moving our organization forward, and the next step in the development process is the creation and seating of the new Board.

This is an exciting but critical point in LMYFC’s development, as the new Board will play significant roles in not only providing guidance and oversight to the organization, but more importantly will be essential ambassadors and advocates for the organization.

A position on the new Board provides an opportunity to serve an impactful role for the betterment of our community, and will greatly influence the culture, strategic focus, effectiveness, and financial sustainability of LMYFC, not only for our children to compete this year but for all those in the years to come as well.

This organization can become a sense of strength and pride for the community, but only with the investment from those in the community.

The new organizational governance has created eleven (11) Board positions, each of which will promote the best interests of LMYFC and those participants and families involved in the organization, but will also be tasked with leadership and oversight regarding certain specific areas of the organization.  The openings for new Board positions are as follows:

Director of Football & Coaches

Vice President – Football

Director of Concessions

Vice President – Cheer

Director of Fields & Facilities

Director of Communications

Member at Large

Vice Treasurer

The thought of running for the Board on top of other personal commitments may seem overwhelming, but the new organization governance provides a framework to enhance community inclusion and involvement to work together for the betterment of the organization.

More detailed descriptions of the responsibilities and length of terms of each Board position can be found in the attached document.

For those interested, the self-nomination period as a candidate for a position on the new Board ends this Sunday, April 11th at 11:59 PM.  Please email with your self-nomination.

Please note, for all those with children entering the 1st through 6th grades in 2021, you will be eligible to vote for these positions during the election period that will be open for several days during the following week, with multiple opportunities to vote in person or electronically.  Exact details of the time and location for voting will follow.

LMYFC is a volunteer organization, and whether it is through potential service on the Board or participation in the vote to determine the new Board, we look forward to the involvement of all in the Panther Football family to help the organization take the next step forward.

Please be on the lookout for more details on the election process to follow.

Look forward to the bright future of Little Miami youth football!!
